Whirlwind Weekend

So... my alarm was supposed to ring at 3am on Saturday morning so that I could be on the road by 3:45 to the airport. Hannah and I were making a day trip to SLC to see my family and attend my sister's bridal shower. So, when I rolled over and saw that the clock said 3:56 I nearly lost it. In a MAD dash I brushed my teeth... grabbed my make-up... and threw on whatever clothes I could find... hopeing that they matched. I pulled Hannah out of bed in PJ's grabbing flip flops... and off we went. No coffee... No Shower... No Cute outfit for the shower (I did grab a pair of wet white pants from the washer).

We finally arrived on time to SLC- looking like ragamuffins! On of our first stops for the day was Nordstrom Rack to buy something for Hannah to wear for the morning/evening before and after the shower PLUS some underwear that would work with my white pants. :) Now... as you can see... there was a sale and I love to buy good shoes but only on sale.

The trip was fast, furious, but so much fun. I was able to spend time with my Dad and Betty, Sara and Taylor (Sara's soon-to-be step-daughter & Hannah's cousin- she can hardly wait!). My grandparents, as well as two aunts and a cousin were also there. When the party cleared out... my brother came by and spent some time with us... he is a techy guy and helped me figure out how to use my new cell phone.

Jeff took Hannah and I back to the airport and off to home we came. We walked into the house about 9:45... or should I say, I walked in.... Hannah was carried in sound asleep.

Today... being mother's day, I had planned to spend the day doing my potted flowers, but the wind is outrageous! So... I am spending my mother's day doing motherly things, like laundry and housework, but I have three very sensitive children who are aware it is a special day, so they are in great mindsets!

Here are a handful of pictures I took while there.

Hannah in her flower girl dress! Enjoying the warm sun!
