What is Grosser than Gross?

Over at Adventures in Babywearing there is a challenge to share a gross story from motherhood. I have one!

When Judah was around 18-20 months old he was beginning to HATE having a poopy diaper on, and he was in his room for nap being fussy. It was not unusual for him to put up a little fit, so I was ignoring him. After a little while, he quieted down and went to sleep. At that time, he was in a toddler bed, so I went to peek in on him and make sure he was actually in his bed. As I cracked open his door I could smell a STRONG scent of poop. I could see him in his bed with no diaper on. As I pushed the door open I realized that he had pooped on the carpet right in front of the door. As I opened the door it smooshed the poop INTO the carpet. I had made the situation much worse than it had been. After further investigation... he had poop all over his hands, it was obvious that he'd been playing in it! :-( Disgusting!

Oh... Oh... I think I have a better story than this gross one! After our family had had the most horrible bout of the flu (all five of us!) we were just beginning to see the light and Zeke was the last one to finish up... we were sitting on the patio and he was on the ground sitting when he decided to bear down and liquid poop squirted out the TOP of the diaper onto the concrete! Praise God for concrete! All we could do was laugh, we were so tired! I guess my gross stories center around deficating!

When emery was a few day's old, I mistook the merconium (sp) on my finger for what I thought was chocolate frosting from the cake I just made for Mike's b-day. Yup...I tried to lick the "frosting" off my finger!
