For those of you who know me more personally, you know that I am a person who is moved to tears somewhat easily. I cry when others cry or when I really sense the presence of the Holy Spirit. BUT... I am not known for crying in my college classes... until tonight. I am in a class where we are looking closely at various cultural groups (not only ethnicity but minorities in general) and discussing our role in culture as counselors. Anyhow... tonight we watched this film called Smoke Signals and I was moved to tears in my classroom. It is so rich. The film itself is a little on the low-budget feel, but what it lacks in effects, is gained in the meat of the story. If you have a love for the Native American People, or would like to have a better understanding of life on a reservation, I highly recommend seeing this. The film was written by a COUGAR and was filmed in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Hi Michelle!
I was going to email you, but didn't see a link from here to your email address, so I will leave a comment.
The wedding pictures were taken at the Boardman Marina. Those two were taken at about 7:30PM, The lighting was perfect, just before 8:00PM. It was a pretty place, I was thinking about going and taking our family pictures there.
By the way... I just niticed this month is your one year blogging anniversary! :)

Hey Michelle. If you ever have the opportunity to read any of Sherman Alexie's books (I have a couple you could borrow) or better yet, see him in person - it is well worth it. Hope your summer is going well and not moving as fast as mine.
See you later,
Shanna
