Derailed and Grateful

This weekend did not go as planned. I hoped to have a lazy Saturday morning, do some Christmas shopping via the net, head to coffee with a friend and drop by and see the preschool Christmas Bazaar, come home to dabble in laundry, get some groceries... BUT....

Life never seems to go as planned. While I was doing my lounging/online shopping, Jason and Hannah went on a "date" to drop the big mower off in the Tri-Cities for a good servicing before the snow hit this weekend. They were in a bit of a hustle so that I could head out... and they were nearly home, in fact they were on the overpass bridge over the U. River when Jason lost control of his truck (pulling the big trailer). The truck bounced back and forth on the freeway (going 65 miles an hour) between the concrete barriers several times as Jason tried to regain control. He did find the ability to pull over to the shoulder. There was an incredible woman behind them that called the police and ambulance... and was able to explain to me how to find them. She put Hannah in her warm car, and stayed with them until officials arrived. We have NO idea who she was!

Three tires were blown and the truck is REALLY beat up. Poor Hannah took a beating. She had quite a knot on her head and a bruised up shoulder. Jason is really feeling it today as well. Thankful for only bumps and bruises!

The weekend was seriously derailed... nothing went as planned, but we are SERIOUSLY grateful for life!!!

Oh' My. What a scary time! So, so very glad that your family is all OK.
You know once, I came upon an accident where a lady was trapped upside down in her car and I called 911. She later got my number from the 911 dispatch and called to thank me. It was nice to hear from her.

Wow! I am so thankful they are okay...and so thankful that Shannon came by the preschool and was telling us about it so we could PRAY! Most of all, I think God sent an angel (a.k.a. the woman) to take care of Hannah, Jason & You. That is truly one of those times that will forever be etched in your memory....Praising God for His protection and goodness. Sweet blessings!
