What a blessing this weekend was! Truly a gift. Friday night, we ordered Pizza and watched a movie as a family. (felt like a 'normal' family) Then, Saturday was beautiful. I had no pressures of any kind. No deadlines meet. No apts. No agenda that must be done. I have no class this week and four days off, which equals a relaxed day on Saturday morning. I even had a friend call and ask if I'd watch her boys for a couple hours.... and I could say, YES. It was a great feeling! Another fabulous feeling.... The GOOD: I embraced the fabulous weather and cleaned out my flower beds/pruned bushes... which created this monster pile (who knew!?). It felt so good!
As for The BAD? Well, Saturday, my dishwasher wouldn't drain. With a schedule like we keep, plus a Thanksgiving Dinner to prepare in a few days... I NEEDED my dishwasher to work! Well, my fabulous Love worked away this evening (after many many dishes were washed by hand today)... and found this!!!! How the heck did so many pumpkin seeds get into my dishwasher?!?!?! Then... on top of this.... my vacuum blew up tonight.... TOAST! Non-repairable. Oh, well, it was seriously filthy anyhow... good excuse to 'have to' buy a new one!
As for The UGLY??? Well, that is this lovely pile or two. As soon as I click 'publish post'... I will be heading to The UGLY pile of laundry that needs folded before I get shut eye! Actually, this is not ugly, it is beautiful, because it is clean. The last couple of weeks have been super tough, and laundry has not been kept up. We were to the point of hunting for an outfit each morning. It was like a scavenger hunt to find socks every day. Although... the fun of the hunt was beginning to wear thin! So so so happy that tomorrow, everyone can have the pick of the mill for what to wear to school.
Well... that's about it here at the J. house! Our moods are higher than they have been in quite a long time. We are ready for our week of rest that is coming. The Thankful Hearts are already beginning to beat away!

Ha! The pile of laundry looks exactly like the one I get to look forward to every weekend. I try to keep up during the week, but I usually only get as far washing the clothes...the folding and putting away is the time consuming part! It sounds like you had a wonderful week off!
